TempoPath

How it works

A practice system that fits the week you actually have.

TempoPath is a structured, personalized practice planner for adult beginners of bowed string instruments. It is not a replacement for a qualified music teacher.

  1. 01

    Choose your instrument

Violin, viola, cello, or double bass. Each has its own roadmap, terminology, and exercises. You can add another instrument later without losing what you've done.

  2. 02

    Answer a short onboarding

Experience, instrument access, reading comfort, weekly availability, and the goal that would make this meaningful to you. Around three minutes.

  3. 03

    Receive your roadmap and week

Six stages of approved exercises for your instrument, organized into a realistic weekly schedule that respects your available time.

  4. 04

Practice one session at a time

A guided timer with clear instructions, a rationale, and success criteria. When you finish, tell us how it felt — the next plan responds to that.

  5. 05

    Adapt as life happens

Missed a session? Move it, shorten it, or start a ten-minute restart. We won't punish streaks or reset your progress.

A note on scope

TempoPath organizes approved exercises and can measure pitch, timing, and note stability from short recordings — analyzed in your browser, never uploaded by default. It cannot evaluate posture, bow hold, physical tension, tone quality, or artistic interpretation, and it is not a replacement for a qualified teacher. If playing causes sharp or persistent pain, stop and seek qualified guidance.
